We are here; we are waiting...
You know, I'm getting to that point where the whole "gain-an-hour/lose-an-hour" thing is getting very old and very annoying. It messes me up and makes me tired. Just give me my damn hour and leave it alone for the rest of eternity, OK?
Other than that, life is life. We've got conferences for Mikey on Wednesday evening. The lucky thing gets spring break beginning Thursday, doesn't go back till the 24th - I sure don't remember long spring breaks like that!
30 is creeping up on me, too - the end of this month. Feeling immeasurably, ferociously unimportant and old lately; although it's not so much the "old" part, it's more that I'm (nearly) 30 and have little to show for it. And then there's the whole guilt thing over wanting something more than what I have, and the shame that I'm uncertain exactly what it is I'm needing. *rolls eyes at self* Boy, I'm just a barrel of euphoria today, hmm? *snickers at self-idiocy*
Anyway - Amanda passed her math class. With a D, but it's a pass, so she'll graduate with the rest of her class. That's a headache that's thankfully over - she was so stressed about it, it was stressing me out, too.
Work...is work. More to do than I could hope to do in a month. It's looking like another OT-filled month ahead of me. You know, I took a nearly-three-dollar-an-hour pay cut in February 2007 when I came back to this position. And even though I worked eleven months at that nearly-three-dollar cut, I ended up putting in so much overtime that I made more last year than I have any other year. If that is not the epitome of "overworked and underpaid," I don't know what the hell is. *shakes head, smiles wryly*
My cousin Madeline is nearly twelve, and has been more and more into acting. She was Snow White a year or so ago in the school play, and just last week she was cast as Dame Isobel in "Jack and the Beanstalk." Dame Isobel is the wicked woman for whom Jack and his mother work. Needless to say, I'm very excited for Maddie - this is a play put on by the theatre in Anoka, rather than a school play. Very cool.
Watched Transformers again last night before bed. I don't know why, but I am completely in love with that movie. XD
