What I've been up to...
It's been a while, so I thought I'd just do a quick rundown on what's been going on, if anyone cares to know. :)
1. My boss is moving to Texas. Her last day is this coming Friday, the sixteenth. I have been coming to terms with this recently for several reasons. She's always been an excellent boss. She totally doesn't deserve to have to move to Texas under the circumstances she's moving there. And ohmygod, I don't know if I can be a supervisor. I haven't applied, nor have I been given any indication from the manager that I should do so...but eight coworkers and two other supervisors so far have told me I should. Major agony, weighing the pros and cons. *sigh*
2. Speaking of work, Jebus Christ on stilts. Does anybody ELSE have anything I should do? Seriously, at the rate I'm accumulating tasks I will be working until my bones crumble into dust. I'll put up a picture of my desk later. It's kind of - OK, REALLY - sad.
3. I'm kind of surprised only three people commented on the gigantic picspam I did with this post. Not upset, just...surprised.
4. If you recall, we have to move. By April 14th. So now we have to go apartment hunting. NOT a joy. I don't like moving, and I certainly don't want to go from a house to an apartment. But there's nothing I can do, so moving it is.
5. I'm cooking dinner for approximately fifty people on Thursday. It's going to be spaghetti. Does anybody have any tips? Because Matt says it's different making a mess of spaghetti for fifty people than it is for ten, and I just don't think so. For real...dump the noodles in the water, cook it for ten minutes and voilá, spaghetti. Right? If that's not right, someone better let me know before I do it.
6. I get some blessed time to myself on Saturday - Matt's taking Mikey and Amanda to the Monster Trucks again. I get the best part of an afternoon and evening all to myself!! *is wildly pleased*
I think that's it for now, but I may post again later because I've probably forgotten several things. *rolls eyes*

Good luck with the apartment hunting :)

Although I do think there's a lot more work involved being a supervisor - I'd get to dump the piddly things on others, but not the big things. I'll have to look at it more closely before I decide, I think.
And thanks. :)

2. *HUGS*
3. I commented right? It took forever for the page to load XD
4. We will definately let you know what we think about this place. I loved Relocation Central, we went to the one in Chrystal. If you want I can give you our ladies card. She was really good.
5. HOLY CROW! Yes Spaghetti would be the best...OR make it up the day before and reheat?
6. Ahhhh, enjoy it!! Dana just gave me like almost an hour on Saturday and it was lovely :)

3. You did. Several times, in fact. *hehe* I know the load time was ridiculous for some people - it was a lot of pictures.
4. Is that right there by the Dairy Queen and the Subway? On the same corner as the Target? And definitely let us know.
5. Not a chance. I have a million other things I need to complete tonight, so no cooking ahead of time. I'll at least have help in the kitchen, and thankfully from someone who knows how to work everything in it. I figured spaghetti was the easiest, cheapest way to make a good, filling meal for fifty people. There's no reason to spend two hundred dollars for catering when we can just as easily do it for less than a hundred, right? *rolls eyes*
6. An hour, huh? Hmm, maybe he needs to take the girls to Monster Trucks, too... *hehe*

1) I say apply for the position. If your co-workers think you should, then obviously you're capable of doing the job and they think you'd be a good supervisor. Plus, what have you got to lose? If you apply and get the position - great! If you don't, at least you tried and it's not like you're going to lose your current job just by applying, right?
2)See, another reason you should apply to be supervisor - then you can delegate all the tasks! ^_~ I think you'd be great at it.
3)As I said above, I'll comment in a sec. ^_~
4)Good luck on the apartment hunting. Did you view any of those you showed me before Christmas? I understand that going from a house to an apartment will be hard...but think about it this way, it'll be just you, Matt and Mikey. I don't know about you, but I liked it when we moved from my mum's to where we are now and it was just the three of us - that way, you get more freedom to do what you want and not have to cater to everyone elses whims. Plus, there's a chance you could get a place with a pool, and that's always a bonus! ^_~
5) Well, the most people I've ever cooked pasta for is like 5 or something, so I dunno if I can give any helpful advice. Maybe do it in batches though, so it's not all in the same pan. I can imagine enough spaghetti for 50 people in one pan might clog together. What are you doing with the spaghetti? Are you having like a pasta sauce with it or anything? If so, I'd suggest getting store brought jar sauce, then spruce it up a little with herbs etc. ^_~
I also googled "cooking spaghetti for 50 people" and found a few sites that might be helpful.

6) Oh, I remember you telling me that Matt, Mikey and Amanda were going to the Monster Trucks, and you weren't sure about going. I'm glad you get the afternoon and evening to yourself -- you deserve some 'me' time to relax. I hope you have fun!
*huggles and goes to comment on your pic spam*

2. And gain several new ones in their place! *hehe* Again - just gotta wait and see. Sometimes impatience is not cool. *sigh*
3. Forgiven. *hehe* I wasn't angry about it with anybody; I know people have things to do, places to go, people to see. I was just surprised that more people didn't have anything to say about it, especially considering there were so many pics spanning so much time. No worries, though. :)
4. Not yet. Matt's really dragging his heels, so I may have Dad take me out on Saturday while Matt and the kids are off at the Monster Trucks. I've got two in mind to check out; I'll have to see if I can wrangle a showing or two.
5. It'll be a regular spaghetti dinner. I'll pick up about sixteen pounds of spaghetti, a couple giant cans of pre-made spaghetti sauce, some big bags of pre-made meatballs so I don't have to fiddle with browning hamburger and a couple containers of
shaky cheeseparmesan. I'll also grab a couple onions and pepper to chop up and add to the sauce, see what spices I have that I can drag along. Then I'll be grabbing several bags of Caeser salad to go with it, and cheesy garlic bread. Carrot cake and ice cream for refreshments after the meeting. Should be super-good, I just am unsure about cooking it all! *hehe* Thank you for the links, I'll be checking them out later! XD.6. Yes - "me" time is rare and precious. ;)
