Birthday Party Fun

So Mikey turned nine years old yesterday, and we took him to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza and games and stuff. There were twelve of us there, total. We got four pizzas, several drinks and 300 game tokens.

So I'm standing there after I've paid - my mom has taken the plates and cups to our tables, and I'm waiting for the machine to finish spitting out 300 tokens. Mikey - the birthday boy - has gone off with Mom, my sisters, his other grandparents, his cousin and Matt.

Guess where my dad is.

Standing about three yards away from me, bouncing on the balls of his feet and watching each token come out of the lovely little machine. *rotfl*

So I finally have two big cups full of tokens, and Dad is following straight behind me all the way to the tables - and Mikey gets up to ask for some tokens to go play games. Dad grins and pushes him gently and teases, "Get in line, birthday boy, I was here first!" *ROTFL*

I reached around him and gave Mikey a handful first, then gave Dad ten of them - and of course, he makes a beeline for the SkeeBall game. *lol*

Anyway, Mikey had a blast. This was his "best birthday ever," according to him. YAY! XD

I can't believe Mikey is 9 years old already. It doesn't seem that long ago when you brought him to trivia at Nate's place and we had to keep him from unplugging all the computers!

No kidding! It seems like yesterday I was just handing him a sippie cup. Now he has a cow if I don't let him get his own fountain drink. *rolls eyes*

Don't get me wrong, I adore babies - but older kids are more fun because you can play with them and they understand things. *lol*
