It really is, and disgusting, to boot. How can they just walk by when someone is quite obviously in trouble? This is another human being, though I'd feel the same if it was an animal - how would THEY feel if people just walked past THEM like that? Just the indifference people display sometimes hurts my heart, you know?
I've often said this but in reverse. I feel like when I see poor animals that have been hit by cars, that if it were a human nobody would leave the body in the road/highway. Animals are never treated with the same kind of respect. So it's even worse that there are people out there who extend that attitude to their fellow man.
