Minnesota Tragedy

So a bridge collapsed here yesterday. About 12 hours ago, actually - it's such a tragedy, the lives lost, the people still missing, the people hurt.

It's always wrenching, no matter where tragedy happens, but so close to home really shakes you up. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected - in any way - by this.

And I'm thankful - so thankful - that neither my family nor I were on that bridge when it collapsed.

The scariest part? Matt and Mikey went over the bridge right next to it yesterday afternoon, when they dropped Mom and Amanda off at the airport. O_O

Yikes, how awful. :( It's just terrifying to think about being caught in something like that, or even worse, having loved ones involved. There was a pretty bad accident on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, which is close to where I live, earlier this summer, and I think four people were killed there too, one guy from the college where my dad works and his son. I hope the death toll for the Minnesota one doesn't get any higher, and I was glad to hear that at least the school bus full of children made it off in time.

Oh my gosh, that's awful. I hope the death toll doesn't get higher, I feel so bad for all who lost loved ones in that accident. I'm also thankful you weren't on the bridge.
