Hello, everybody! *settles back in happily* I am back from vacation, and while I could easily - easily - handle another few months of that, it's awesome to be back at home, in my own bed, on my own loveseat.
And of course, I missed being connected. It's astonishing how much being connected means to me, but I don't mind it.
Y'all didn't think I'd come back from a week at the lake and not have a few pics to share, did you? ;)
It did not, as usual, take Boychild long to shimmy into his trunks and begin his absolute favorite pastime - throwing rocks from the lake into...the lake:

And yes, he seems to be continually attending plumber tryouts.
Here he is on the sand, finding more rocks to throw:

Hey, hey, you didn't take a picture of ME yet! *pant, pant*

Food on the grill:

While out and about, we found this hilarious wine bottle holder:

Campfire:

Fishing off the dock:

View of the lake from behind the swing:

Closeup of that gorgeous green moss:

There's a store we love visiting when we go up each year that sells Amish furniture. I adore the furniture there, it's always so exquisite. And we decided on the bed frame we want, finally:

We also had some amusing Boychild moments revolving around cold water and shrinkage of manly equipment. Suffice it to say he was quite worried for a while! LOL!
Today we had to be present for the actual interment of Grandma's ashes. It was all right, and finally it's done.
And last but not least for today, my dad now has a journal of his own.
Welcome to DW,
