midnightmoon is doing this 30-day meme and I thought, Hey, cool. Today is September first, and there are 30 days, so I'll give it a go.

Day 1 - Introduce Yourself

What a perfect way to start off; I have a few new flisters, so hello and welcome to you.

My name is Kim. I am 32 years old and married with one son; my son is biologically my nephew, of whom I have had full legal and physical custody for eleven of his two-weeks-shy-of-twelve years.

I am the oldest of five girls, which translates to "bossy and opinionated know-it-all." But even though this is the case, I try to make a point of being easy to get along with.

I live in Minnesota in the US, and am very much a homebody. I love traveling, but this will always be home.

I love to read and to write stories of my own, and I have a deep and abiding love affair with music, in all its many forms. I also enjoy playing video games, watching movies and spending time with those I love.

I am generally a cheerful and happy person - I'm one of those weirdos who are usually in a good mood upon waking - and I'm pretty open, though more so online than I am in person. If you ever have a question, feel free to ask it. ;)
