"They used to dance."
May. 19th, 2008 09:55 amHaven't got a lot of time, but wanted to get this down before I forgot.
Weekend was all right - I've definitely had better, but it wasn't completely without redemption.
Lowlights:
- Mikey was up puking and pooing A.L.L. N.I.G.H.T. on Saturday night. It has been years since I've been awake for forty hours straight. Honestly, when mom says to stop eating, shouldn't the kid bloody well STOP EATING?? It was a seriously upset stomach due to an unfortunate habit he has of loving the fatty part of any meat. Ate too much of it - after being told several times to knock it off, I might add - and ended up sick.
- Had to clean up the puke that landed on my bedroom wall, bedroom floor, hallway floor and bathroom floor, and hose the boy down in the shower two or three more times. Eternal gratitude to my sister, Karen, who did most of the bedroom for me while I hosed him down the first time.
- Drove myself to work since Mikey's home from school today - hubby didn't need the car, so I took myself. An adventure in and of itself; I don't exactly remember quite how I got here. I CAN drive, I simply...prefer not to do so. Drive home should be - well, interesting, I suppose...
Highlights:
- Saw
loveweasleys04 on Friday afternoon! *bounces up and down* Brought her presents and had a FANTASTIC time chatting with her! Beth, thanks for a WONDERFUL afternoon, we will DEFINITELY have to do that again. SOON.
- Had a lovely morning/afternoon on Saturday. Spent it vegging out with Bunny while John took Amanda and Mikey on the art crawl; hubby was off with car buddies all day. Beautifully relaxing few hours.
- Amanda came back from the art crawl with a t-shirt she bought for 99ยข - it has a picture of a paper clip and says "I steal office supplies." Laughed my ass off - I want that shirt! *LOL* Here's a pic:

- Saw Prince Caspian yesterday. Am in L.O.V.E.. I have to see it again, I can't even begin to describe it. These movies just slay me. Every single time. I'm being whispered to, spoken to...ever get that notion? Or am I the only one who finds/hears messages, who receives blatant nudges, in movies?

Date: 2008-05-19 04:56 pm (UTC)Knows he's lucky, too. I got the cutest Mother's Day card from him, he made it in school. Came up with the poem himself, it says: "Roses are red, violets are blue, you're the bestest mom I ever had, and that makes you, you." Wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry. XD
And Amanda's hair - she loves to dye it. The blue was temporary, she promised Mom and Dad it'd be a more normal color by the time graduation rolled around, but it washed out sooner than she planned, so she went back to black earlier than she otherwise would have. :)
