Weird dream.

I don't dream often, but when I do, it's usually messed up.
Beth, I dreamed about you last night...sort of. You were fairly peripheral, really. I don't know where Dana or Elaina were - but you were definitely the mom, and you were pregnant and had your baby - but it was twin girls.
You named one of them Brigitte - which was cute, except you insisted it was to be pronounced Brig-it. Not the soft "g" sound like in "ginger," but the hard "g" like in "good." And I can't remember the twin's name, I just remember it started with an "I," something equally weird.
Anyway, you brought them home to your apartment and Laura (my youngest sister's best friend) was there, getting it ready for you, but then she had to leave. And Brigitte was asleep, but the twin with the "I" name was wide awake. You had to go do something, so I stayed with the babies. And I just couldn't wait to hold one of them, so I picked up I-twin (the wide awake one), and was talking to her.
And she started talking back! Not, like, complete sentences or anything. But I had the back of her head in my hand, and she looks at me and says, "Neck." So I move my hand. Then I take her around the apartment, showing her different things, and she's giving one word answers here and there, sometimes repeating what I call things. In perfect English! At four days old!
I showed her the bedroom mirror, and she looked in it and said, "Me." I turned on some music, and she said, "Music." We walked into the kitchen, and she said, "Kitchen." And I took her into the nursery and let her see her sleeping sister, and she whispered, "Quiet. Brigitte sleep."
I knew the whole time I was dreaming, and I kept wondering where Dana and Elaina were in the back of my head, but I was more baffled by this four-day-old infant speaking perfect English! WTF, brain?!
