Oh, elementary school love. Happy Birthday, Mikey, and please take lots of pictures, you :-)
*grins* Gonna. And he says thank you. ;)
And you finished the book? What did you think? Ian McEwan is just, phenomenal with words. That is all.
It was SO good. I want to read it another few times, let it sink in some more. The imagery was just so rich, and everything made such perfect sense! From the very beginning, I didn't like Briony - but I completely GOT her little neuroses, what she thought, what she felt, etc. - it was like that for the whole book.
And man, I just wanted to eat Robbie ALIVE...although maybe that has more to do with me picturing James McAvoy than anything...
I need to either check it out again or find my own copy so I can steep in it a little more.
And... haha, I don't get the meme?
*snerk* I didn't at first, either. It's a list of statements, and you have to plug in people on your f-list who fit each one. But per the rules, you don't get the list (and therefore can't find out what it is I plugged you in for) unless you promise to do it yourself. You're only supposed to fill in one name per item, but I obviously don't follow all the rules. And you can leave some blank if no one applies (or if, like me, you just don't like that particular statement). ;)
