Moving Right Along

Yesterday was very productive, and in pleasantly surprising ways, to boot. We've been sort of planning here and there what we'll need for the apartment - some of the list included a table and chairs for the dining room and a couple of twin beds for Mikey and Amanda. We were looking at this table at Wal*Mart, and this table at KMart - so we were looking at about $250 just for a table and chairs.

We went to Ikea yesterday to pick up a couple twin bed frames that we found online - $40 each and a box spring isn't required, which is perfect because we have twin mattresses already, so the cost is minimal.

But while there, we came across this table:



And it was only $129.00 for the table and all four chairs together. It was sturdy and comfortable and small enough that it would fit in our dining area and still seat four of us.

So including a few small things here and there and lunch on top of it, we spent just under $250.00 - our entire dining room budget - and got not only the table and chairs, but two twin bed frames, lunch and a few other dining necessities. AWESOME.

We also thought about an entertainment center for the living room. Eventually, we'd like this one (also at Ikea):



We're going again today, we're going to pick up dishes and other various necessities we didn't have time for yesterday. :)

I suppose when you're as old as Mother Nature, the days all kind of blend into one another...but I wasn't impressed when I woke up to this today. *rolls eyes*

Ikea.....is my walmart these days. I swear if I have not gone there for three weeks it just feels wrong. We are heading over there today for a "big boy" bed for Aidan....out with the huge crib, and in with the twin bed and significantly smaller crib for the new addition.

I know, Mother Nature has not made me too happy this week either, it's been snowing here practically all week. It's spring??? Someone should inform Mother Nature.
