I am telling you, I spend more time here than I do at home.

And I spend a good portion of it training people who have higher-paying positions than I do.

The stack of work on my desk is, if set on the floor, as high as my thigh. Okay, it's on MY desk, which happens to be the one that doesn't have a working computer.

There's been a work order to GET me a computer for that desk for, oh, two months, now. And I heard from someone else in the office - who really shouldn't even KNOW it - that my computer hasn't even been ordered yet, but the lady who just found out last week that she'll be transferring to a different department? Hers just got ordered.

Where am I working, you ask?

One of my coworkers is on maternity leave. I've been using her desk for the last month. But no one has any idea when she'll be back. She hasn't bothered telling anybody. And when she does, if I don't have a computer, Lord knows where they'll put me then.

To quote one of my newest favorite movies (Meet the Robinsons), "I'm just not sure how well this plan was thought through."

And to cap the whole thing off, there are no outlets at that desk. None! The computer's cords are strung up behind the computer and over the back of the cubicle wall to a power strip on the opposite side.

*rolls eyes*

Does this seem overly ridiculous to anyone else, or is it just me?

Mikey had bowling again last night - his games were 22 and 21 this time, and he decided he wants to bowl like the other people he sees. This means he now runs up to the line and wings it with all his might.

And wouldn't you know it, he does so much better that way. Still a lot of gutter balls, but at least he's making the effort. We let him play a third game for the hell of it, and he got his best score ever: 50! I think we'll just tell him to run and throw it from now on.

Except we kept cringing because with several of his throws, we thought he was gonna toss himself down the lane along with the ball! Napoleon from "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure," anyone?

Ah, the joys of work! Maybe you should tell them you're quitting if you don't get a computer? That ought to shift them! Seriously...it sounds like you are working with idiots which makes everything WAY harder. I hope it gets sorted soon!

Yay for Mikey! Lol! I really need to see this kid in action! LOL!

*hugs*

Oh, can you imagine their faces if I told them that? LOL! XD

And you'll get to see him soon - Matt gave me a webcam for Mother's Day! :D
