Goin' on a bear hunt.
Aug. 1st, 2009 12:11 am1. WE LEAVE IN TEN HOURS!
2. I posted $2.8 MILLION in payments today. Been holding them for WEEKS when she told me to work on those bloody corporate accounts...she'd completely forgotten I had the other payments, so was thrilled when I told her month-end would look great once I posted all the outstanding electronic files I'd accumulated.
Some days, I wonder why I still work there.

3. We went to Como Zoo last Sunday. I had way more pictures than this, but my camera's been a bit wonky lately and zoom won't work, so these are just a few of the better pictures.
Lions are always a favorite. They were all sleeping, and of course this doesn't even rate next to Sarah's completely awesome, Tanzanian OHMYGOSHSOCLOSEUPWILD lions, but we still enjoyed them:

Mikey and Matt, checking out the giraffes:

We always love the sea lions:

We were highly amused by the little critter hanging there on the wrong side of the fence. What do you suppose that is? Gecko? Salamander?

Seriously, how often do you see an actual sloth?

Pretty flowers; wonder what they are?

We went to Sonic afterwards for slushes. Amanda - I sometimes think she orders hers just to see what color her drink will be when it comes out. This is blue coconut with a shot of watermelon:

It looks awesome, of course, but I just wonder sometimes. *shakes head* Artists.
Earlier this week on the way to work, there was this super-bright rainbow. I finally got a decent picture when we pulled into the parking garage. This is looking south out the second floor of the garage; that tall, tan building on the far right is actually the building I work in.

And last night, Amanda painted my toes for me. I've got it in my head that toes are for fun, bright, wild colors, and I happen to have this affinity for a good poison green, so that's what's on my toes right now:

4. Made a banner/header for my LJ layout last night, got it put in there today. I LOVE it and am so proud of it. *hehe*
5. In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe. MICHAEL JACKSON.
6. Time to get some sleep. Everybody have a great week!
