psyche29: The teeth of the Monster Book of Monsters, text "Good Books Don't Bite" (good books don't bite)

OK, I'm finished with the first book.

I was so heartbroken over Ned, I cried myself to sleep last night. They forced him to play their games and then killed him anyway. I want Joffrey and Cersei to pay. I want Jaime's penis and head each cut off, the penis stuffed into the head's mouth, and then the whole thing sent as a package to Cersei, to be opened in court in front of everyone. Then I want her hurt the way I outlined in a previous post, and to watch as Joffrey is hurt the same and then killed, and then I want her murdered, as painfully and slowly as possible.

I want Sansa left alone for all her days, as this was all her fault and I have no forgiveness in me for her.

Sandor Clegane - the Hound - I like him. I was never scared of him, really. Does he have a soft spot for Sansa? Or is he just a decent guy who does the horrible things it takes to serve twisted demons such as the Lannisters?

Tywin can rot in hell, the bastard. Never once has he treated or looked on Tyrion with anything but a distasteful second glance. They can send the remainder of Jaime's demon form in a box to Tywin.

Tyrion would be a good ruler, I think. He has too much love for his evil siblings, and more honor for his family name than he really should, with the way he is treated. I hope for good things, both for him and from him.

I love Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen so very much. I want them to marry, though I suppose that's out of the question for Jon.

I want Robb to be King of the North, and Dany and her dragons to stamp out the rest of them, all and sundry.

I loved the Blackfish. Brynden Tully = WIN.

Arya is with Yoren? Is he protecting her because he knows who she is and he wants to help? Is he in it for something? Is he bringing her home to Winterfell?

Renly? ...the fuck is up with him? Does EVERYBODY hate Stannis this much? Why? Is Stannis as evil as Cersei, as Joffrey, as Gregor Clegane?

Feel free to sanswer my questions without fear of spoiling me; I don't want to read the next books. It hurts my head and it hurts my heart that the story was so much a recital of greed and hate and evil stamping out and breaking honor and love and light. I will read the next eventually, but my heart can't take it right now.

OK. Ask me questions - what did you want me to comment on that I missed? Was there someone I should have paid closer attention to while reading? Anything?

That doesn't absolve her. SHE committed treason first, having an affair WITH HER OWN BROTHER, bearing children that were his and letting her KING think they were his own. I want her dead.
Totally. She is not one of my favorite characters. Cersei/Jamie is Narcissim at it's finest, lol.

No reason is good enough. None.
Again agreed.

Joff is fond of Joff, methinks. But OK, so I called the soft spot thing. Too bad another family couldn't offer him better pay and something better to which he might be loyal.
Yes he is, but he is also sadistic and he is very loyal and fond of the Hound for his sheer brutality. For the Hound's story you will just have to keep reading...

Yes, because it's totally Tyrion's fault she died. I think Tywin needs to move into the here and now and embrace what he has left of her: the son who defends the family name with intelligence and cunning and outright spunk.
Totally, Lannisters are very image conscious and vain as I am sure you have already noticed. Having a disformed son is a plague for Tywin. You will see more dynamics between the two of them if you go on. Tywin does realize the cunning nature of Tyrion, but with every praise he gives him there always seems to be a backhanded lash. D:

*hee* I don't know that I really ship it. It was just my first thought. But reality is reality - Jon has taken his vows, and I don't see how that will be changing.
Yes, Jon is very much like Ned in this respect. OMG!THOUGH Keep reading!

Do Dany and Jon ever even meet? I wonder if Dany will find out she has a living relative and go to see him, seek his counsel, etc.
I don't want to give anything away, but I do....ack this is hard.

I also thought, too, that Dany might marry Robb, but Robb's been promised to one of the Frey girls; he is his father's son, and I'm currently thinking he means to honor the deal.
Dany and Robb won't marry is all I can tell you. Robb yes well he is definitely A LOT like Ned and you will see that in later books. OMG! There is so much packed into this paragraph it's driving me crazy, LOL! Now I know how some of my flisters felt when I wrote my reactions. You really should just start reading.

And since I'm thinking of it, what of Rickon? What does he grow to be? He's half wild, poor baby, freaked out over his papa, his brothers, etc.
Rickon! Yeah you will see him a little bit. He is definitely wild and that fact gets cemented later on.

Only once? Who have I seen who is possibly as evil as Gregor? Illyrio? Joffrey? Lysa? Her freakazoid spawn Robert? I can think of no others right now, unfortunately.
Yeah only once. Athough he has been mentioned many times. I can't say anything else really because his moment is probably one of the biggest moments in the series so far and a lot of people say it is was on of the most shocking things that they have ever read.
