Took me long enough...
Jul. 19th, 2007 07:59 amAnd it's so past time for a post - I've been neglectful! Shame on me!
I haven't posted too much - sorry about that. I just haven't had too much to say lately, I guess. It's that whole "summer" thing, I think. Not much going on, Mikey's not in school and I can't regale you all with continual bowling tales - although he hasn't thrown himself down the lane with his ball yet. Yeah, okay, I'm a bad mom for hoping he might... XD
I'm nearly crawling out of my skin with excitement because Deathly Hallows will be in my hands in less than 48 hours - can't wait, can't wait, can't wait, can't wait...
And slightly less exciting but still wonderful for me is my vacation coming up. We're driving out East this year, visiting my grandparents and a great aunt. We leave early morning August 3rd, and will be in Delaware by Saturday evening. We'll spend approximately a week there. And you can tell it's almost vacation time for me...I'm slowing down at work. I do this every year. Lucky for me, my boss recognizes the symptoms and doesn't mind. Hehehehe... XD

capella_black:
1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like. (But please let me know you want me to ask you questions, as some of you are just...random to begin with.)
2. I respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.
And here are her questions:
1. What do you do for a living?
I ama glorified cashier an Office Specialist II and unofficial lead worker in the patient accounting department of a large hospital. We get millions of dollars every month, and I see most of it. *sigh*
2. What would your boggart be?
Um...well, it could be several things. But I can't decide between a nurse wielding a needle or Mikey dead. *shudders thinking about either one*
3. How and when did you start reading Harry Potter?
I always meant to, but never got around to it. Then we went on vacation out East two years ago, and stopped first at Jigzy's place for the weekend. She wanted to watch the third movie, but I refused because I hadn't read the books yet. She handed me the first three off her shelf and said, "Get reading." LOL! I finished those three books in less than 24 hours, and then we watched the movies.
I've never fallen so deep and so hard so quickly. That was it, I was lost. I've never looked back.
4. What has been the happiest moment of your life so far?
I don't know! There are so many! I'm an optimistic person - for the most part - and I appreciate everything good, no matter how small. Or I try to. The day I got married was lovely. The day I won full custody of Mikey was perfect. Every bit of music that wrenches emotion is happy. It's difficult to choose just one. But if I had to try, it would have to be the day Mikey stopped what he was doing in the middle of playing with a truck and announced, "Mommy, do you know why I love you?" And he proceeded to list several reasons he loved me as best his four-year-old tongue could do, and then went back to playing with his truck. LOL!
5. If you could make sure one character in DH doesn't die, who would it be and why?
Aww, man! Just one?! Then I guess it'd have to be Harry. Too many heroes lead lives with one tragedy after another, and then end up dying anyway. It's so discouraging, and so overdone in literature in my opinion. I think it's high time for a hero who wins - and lives to enjoy what he worked and fought so hard to achieve. People need the reminder that while there are sacrifices, there can be rewards, as well.
Comment, and I'll ask you five questions!XD
