right now it's every other time by LFO because i saw a fan vid someone did with it the other day

The smurf song. It is always in my head. Not playing, exactly, just there. If I start humming aimlessly? It is always the smurf song. I occasionally get other bits of song stuck in my head, but all I have to do to get rid of them is to start humming - and it will automatically turn into the smurf song. It's been this way as long as I can remember.

Lots of things /can/ earworm me, but only certain things are 'bad' earworms. Moxy Fruvous have a great song 'The Gulf War Song', but I got it in my head at one point and it stayed there for /days/. Nothing could shift it, not even my patented earworm-cleaning device, 'Tragedy' as done by Steps. Then there are the /bad/ songs that get into your head and can't be shifted. My 'friend' calixae is prone to singing bits of Westlife or Boyzone songs at me on IRC. Not only do I hate both bands with a passion, I grew up around them and small bits of the lyrics can transmit persistent earworms. AUGH. So I'm keeping Lady Gaga at hand to defeat such attacks.
