Another birthday...
Mar. 29th, 2010 12:14 pm1. Mine, this time! I am 32 years old today, and all I want at the moment is to crawl back into bed. I was sick all last week, and right up until about three or four o'clock this morning! So of course, I'm back at work today - but sore and tired. BUT HEY, MY STOMACH ISN'T QUEASY ANYMORE! It really was so queasy for so many days, and my whole body is now just exhausted after being so tense for so long.
And I'm hungry, but a little bit leery about eating anything. So methinks it'll just be one small slice of pizza tonight, and a small piece of whatever kind of cake hubby finds and brings home...I'm kind of hoping it's cheesecake or ice cream cake, but I'll be happy with anything.
2. Well, the boy finally broke his retainer.
Correction: He ignored his Oma's direction to put it back in after breakfast and went to play video games instead, and the freakishly oral dog (Nama) got hold of it and destroyed it. Needless to say, we had quite the "discussion," which ended in a month-long video-game ban and a week-long snack ban. We've also said that depending on how much it costs to replace, we'll probably sell his DSi since he obviously can't show responsibility for anything. Nice start to his spring break, yes?
3. We also finally forced him onto a bike and started teaching him to ride yesterday. He's so incredibly afraid of falling, which is really the only thing holding him back, but he's old enough to understand the mechanics of it. He fell maybe three times yesterday, and then a fourth time which was the end of the session for him because it was straight over a low brick wall and he refused to try it again. I told him that if he keeps practicing and can ride the bike by the end of this week, I'll remove one week of his video-game ban. We'll see how it goes.
4. Started spring cleaning this weekend, got the living room finished. Hubby and kiddo will do a bit each day, too, since they're both home all week.
5. My bathtub SUCKS. I tried a hot bath last night, but what's the use when the water won't fucking stay in? Must call the landlord and have them fix it.
6. Does anybody remember Kids Incorporated? OMG, I found so many clips on youtube this weekend, and was amusing myself watching them!
7. Making up a list of stuff for Easter dinner. We already have a nice, big ham; just have to decide what to have along with it. Suggestions?
8. I think that's everything for now. Did you all have a good weekend?

4. Too true.
7. Mmm, mashed potatoes... and dinner rolls! Sounds yummy, thanks!
8. No rain here; we'll be hitting the 70's later this week!
