Sometimes coming home is as nice as getting away!

We went out of town for the weekend, up north to Duluth. Got a great deal on a good hotel and got the hell out of dodge for a couple days.

Back home now; I have pictures.

Yesterday, we drove all over the place. We went over Seven Bridges Road, and stopped at one of the bridges for some photo ops. The first three I took with my phone - which is why they look so cloudy. Sorry about that.

And LAST Sunday, my girlfriend Jenn (slowlygngcrazy) came over with Baby Girl for some playtime! It was such a nice afternoon.

I just love that you tagged this post with "Goin' on a bear hunt". That's one of my little brother's favourite picture books -- and mine, too, I guess :)

I actually started using that as my "vacation" tag a couple years ago just before we went to South Dakota for a camping trip. Camping is so not my thing - as evidenced by that trip - and I'm a city girl and properly terrified of wild animals...and yes, farm animals. "Goin' on a bear hunt" was appropriate because of the implied second line: "I'M not scared!" Which, of course, I totally WAS! LOL! Follow the tag and you'll see posts before and after that trip.
