Any quick remedies for intense pain? That don't require needles?

I hatehatehatehate HATE pain.

Especially when it's in my side, from just under my shoulder blade stretching along the rib around to the front just under the breast. This is the second time in just over a month, and it's ridiculous.

I can hardly breathe properly - yawning and deep breathing make me see stars. And, of course, the only position it doesn't hurt in is lying on that side. *rolls eyes* Go figure.

Going to the chiropractor a little later - let them adjust and massage the hell out of it, then come back home and lie on ice some more. *sigh* Ahh, well.

Don't worry, I'm generally paranoid about this kind of thing, too. Except I work hard not to be online, because honestly, what can I do about it? You know? *hehe* People are going to have their own views and habits and necessities, etc. I can't change them from far away, so I try to go with the flow.

I know that doesn't make it any easier on you...just felt like explaining. ;) *lol*
